The CPO seminar is approved by the National Swimming Pool Foundation to certify pool operators in all states, and is taught by a certified CPO Instructor.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND
Anyone involved in the management and/or operation of public swimming pool or spa facilities, including hotels, apartment communities, municipalities, health clubs, and community centers. No prerequisite education or experience is required to attend.
WHO HAVE WE TRAINED?
Certified Pool Trainers performs training for the following organizations: Hilton Hotels, Marriott Hotels, Savannah Apartment Association, Columbus Technical College, Greystone Apartments, Golden Nugget Hotels, Upper State Apartment Association, Columbia Apartment Association, Shelby County Health Department, Wilderness at the Smokies, Dollywood, Musselman Hotels, Jefferson County Health Department, Fayette County Health Department, Maintenance Supply Headquarters, Blue Mountain Resorts, North Georgia Technical College, Clarke County Health Department, Apartment Association of North Alabama, Chattanooga State Community College, Lake Lanier Islands, Heritage Properties, and Athletic Business Conference.
TESTING AND CERTIFICATION
At the conclusion of the seminar, an open book test will be administered. Attendees will have a maximum of two hours to complete the test. A minimum of 75% correct test answers is required to receive Certified Pool Operator (CPO) status. This certification remains valid for 5 years. All attendees who earn certification will also receive: • Wall Certificate • Wallet Card • Shirt Patch
ABOUT CPO CERTIFICATION
A number of states currently require CPO certification for all pool operators, and many more are considering adding the requirement. Even in states where the requirement does not exist, CPO certification enables the pool operator to manage pools more safely, efficiently, and cost-effectively.
